Maine Emergency Medical Services is a bureau within the Maine Department of Public Safety (DPS) established to be the central agency responsible for the coordination and integration of all state activities concerning Emergency Medical Services and the overall planning, evaluation, coordination, facilitation and regulation of EMS systems.

MedicAlert will not engrave an ID without a signed and verified copy of DNR or POLST forms; on file and available to medical personnel when needed
